As we continue to expand our public safety footprint, we are launching a dedicated Law Enforcement Division focused on improving responder safety, response efficiency, and inter-agency coordination through advanced connected-vehicle and traffic signal technologies.
Position Summary
Applied Information is seeking highly experienced law enforcement professionals to serve as Law Enforcement Product Representatives & Business Development Leaders, based at our Alpharetta, GA location.
This role blends law enforcement operational credibility, technology advocacy, sales execution, and strategic business development. Ideal candidates bring deep experience within law enforcement agencies, strong credibility with command staff and public safety leadership, and a passion for deploying technology that improves responder safety and operational outcomes.
This is a hands-on, field-engaged role. You will spend time working directly with law enforcement agencies, command staff, distributors, and municipal decision-makers — while also contributing to product strategy, go-to-market execution, and the growth of a national Law Enforcement Division.
Key Responsibilities
Law Enforcement Engagement & Field Operations
Serve as a primary Applied Information representative for law enforcement solutions.
Travel regularly to:
Meet with law enforcement agencies, chiefs, sheriffs, and command staff
Support distributors and integration partners
Conduct demonstrations, evaluations, and training sessions
Represent Applied Information in front of:
Sworn personnel and supervisors
Command staff and executive law enforcement leadership
City, county, state, and public safety decision-makers
Business Development & Prospecting
Aggressively identify and pursue new opportunities — “pick up the phone, get in the car, and go.”
Proactively conduct outbound outreach to law enforcement agencies and municipal stakeholders.
Expand adoption of:
Emergency vehicle preemption
Priority control systems
Connected vehicle and V2X solutions
Law enforcement safety and response technologies
Remove barriers to adoption through consultative, relationship-driven engagement.
Sales Execution & Strategy
Support the development and execution of a scalable Law Enforcement Division sales strategy.
Develop business plans with defined goals, timelines, and performance metrics.
Identify market gaps and create strategies to increase adoption across law enforcement agencies.
Apply structured sales methodologies (consultative, solution-based, or Sandler-style approaches).
Partnerships & Relationship Management
Build and maintain trusted relationships with:
Chiefs, sheriffs, command staff, and executive leadership
City and county public safety, IT, transportation, and traffic engineering leaders
Distributors, channel partners, and systems integrators
Represent Applied Information at regional and national law enforcement conferences, expos, and training events.
Collaborate across agencies, including Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS, DOT, and Traffic Engineering.
Training & Presentations
Deliver classroom instruction, operational briefings, and executive-level presentations.
Conduct multi-agency training involving sworn personnel, supervisors, and technical staff.
Provide education on law enforcement technology such as:
CAD and RMS systems
Mobile data terminals (MDTs)
Communications and radio systems
Connected vehicle and traffic signal interaction
Cross-Functional Impact
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to incorporate field insights into product development.
Support pilot programs, proofs of concept, and innovative deployments with law enforcement agencies.
Serve as a subject matter expert in law enforcement applications of emergency preemption, priority control, and connected vehicle technologies.
Team Collaboration & Leadership
Work closely with Fire/EMS and Law Enforcement representatives nationwide.
Support cross-division initiatives and national growth efforts.
As the Law Enforcement Division scales, assist with mentoring and onboarding future team members.
Minimum Requirements
Must be based in or able to work regularly from Applied Information’s Alpharetta, GA location.
Must have served in a career (full-time, paid) law enforcement agency (sworn or non-sworn operational roles considered).
Demonstrated progression into supervisory, leadership, or specialized operational roles.
Significant operational law enforcement experience with exposure to command-level decision-making.
Strong familiarity with law enforcement technology, including CAD, RMS, MDTs, radio/communications, and operational systems.
Willingness and ability to travel as required.
Comfortable with public speaking, training, and executive-level engagement.
Able to work independently with high accountability and self-motivation.
Collaborative mindset and ability to work within a growing national public safety team.
Preferred Requirements
12–15+ years of law enforcement or public safety experience.
Experience with:
Public safety or law enforcement technology vendors
CAD/RMS and analytics platforms
Radio and communications systems
Traffic operations or signal preemption
Public-sector sales, consulting, or vendor roles
Participation in departmental technology, innovation, or special projects units.
Experience evaluating, piloting, or deploying new technologies.
Prior experience delivering training at regional or national law enforcement conferences.
Strong professional relationships with command staff and municipal leadership.
Prior experience in a remote or hybrid role with measurable performance outcomes.
Qualifications & Cultural Fit

Demonstrated success in business development or public-sector engagement.
